I
participated in collection of information from city government of Costa Mesa,
that positively helped me in peer learning in a way that conversation between
me and government representative let me understand that how to make clear
questions and note only appropriate statements in answer provided. This also
helped me in learning how to support basis of our questions and describing
reasons for why we are asking that specific question.

I
discussed all the information collected with my other group member and asked his
opinions about how relevant is the information with our research project and
what information is missing that I need to further collect.

The
correct use of material
My
task was to investigate provisional departments in government that look after
management of lake water, so I only contacted relevant departments to collect
information about those departments and then I directly contacted those
departments to gain relevant information from them.
d)
Conflict
management
This
research study highly contributed in my conflict management skills, I learned
how to deeply think about some procedures which are may be right or not right
according to our common sense i.e. At some point my group member argued that
provision department in lake water management should only be single, but when I
addressed his conflict on the basis of my collected information that it might
be right according to our common sense but realty is different and multiple
provisional departments were looking after lake water operations on the basis
of their nature of requirements.

My
task was to analyse facts collected by my group member from city government of
Costa Mesa, It helped me in peer learning and support in a way that I need to
listen all the information provided to but need to point out what was relevant
and what was irrelevant. This helped me to deeply identify the relevant information
of specific topic and its implementation.

Peer
evaluation
I
also need to provide feedback to my group member about why an information was
or wasn’t relevant. This built my confidence of giving negative feedback in
appropriate way that doesn’t hurt the recipient. Also, it positively
contributed in my critical evaluation skills.
c)
The
correct use of material
As my
main task was to analyse the data which was totally based on correct use of
information, hence I identified relevant information to our study and analysed
it on the basis of designed principles and applications. If I would not use
correct information then it would be difficult to analyse such information on
the basis of such principles and application. Also, sometimes I tried to adjust
some irrelevant information in our study to relate it with our study of common
pool resource, but applications given by previous researches failed that
irrelevant information to be analysed.
d)
Conflict
management
This
research study really taught me conflict management skills, as a number of time
my group member argued with me that information collected by him is relevant,
but I addressed his conflict in a way that the information upon which he is
arguing is relevant according to him because he wasted his time, but originally
this information is not relevant based on certain applications that I explained
to him.
